Where
can I learn English Country Dance?
Learn
with us! We teach each dance before we do it, and will walk through it
until we all feel comfortable.
Is there
a fee?
We ask for a two dollar donation to help cover the cost of renting our
dancing space.
Is this
dance style difficult to learn?
If you can walk, and you know your left from your right, you can learn
English Country Dance. We promise.
Do I need
to bring a partner?
Partners are not required. But feel free to bring as many people with
you as you like. The more the merrier!
I don't
have any of those fancy clothes. What should I wear?
You don't need to get all gussied up just for us! Wear comfortable clothes
and shoes. We are VERY casual. You might want to wear shoes with soles
that slip, not grip, if you have some. Some of us dance barefoot too!
Paper hats are optional.
What time
period do these dances come from?
We mostly
do 18th and 19th century-style dances. We might sneak in a few that are
earlier or later. You just never know...
